IMO the Rhino just bought the segment into the mainstream, and as such, suffers the blame. Had it not been popular, the next machine up probably would have gotten it. Certainly the 50" machines would have raised eyebrows....

Wish there was a table published of actual results for machines. That's what I'm interested in seeing.

IMO the Rhino just bought the segment into the mainstream, and as such, suffers the blame. Had it not been popular, the next machine up probably would have gotten it. Certainly the 50" machines would have raised eyebrows....

Wish there was a table published of actual results for machines. That's what I'm interested in seeing.
No they were just plain tippy, designed more like an ATV than a cart.


They did have less historic data to go on but a bad design is still a bad design.

Tippier than a 500?
Havent spent a ton of time in a Rhino, but I can't see it being worse.

...but then again, that's why I'm curious as to the ratings. Maybe it just seems that way.

Rhinos were awesome for their time... and are still good. It was completely sue happy folks going after number one. I mean it’s not the machines fault when we put ourselves in precarious places. The fix for the rhino was to remove rear sway bars and add spacers.

Well, if you said the Wolverine, you are wrong! At least according to the CPSC...

OK...so they are equal. Still, a lot of people comment that the 700 feels top-heavy. Same thing for the 1000 but it's not true, relatively speaking...

The big loser in this show room? The wolverine x4 barely makes the 33 degree minimum...

The machine is was most interested in seeing was the 500 Pioneer. Unfortunately, they didn't have a 2018 on the floor. Might head to another dealer shortly, and I have more for comparison later.

Wow I would’ve guessed there was a much bigger difference between 700-1000
Yeah...would have bet the 2 seat wolvy smoked the 700. Some of these are very surprising, but I'll have to post later when I get better signal.

You still would have flipped it regardless.:D

Actually, when you consider that the 1000 has 27 inch tires, more ground clearance, etc that probably offsets the extra width, it seems like it makes sense.

I have a tilt meter in mine and 35* isn’t that extreme. I’d like to see and know how they perform their test.

I’ll be the first to say they will dump over and with weight added it highlights it... I would say these numbers were pretty accurate when I had 1000 lbs in the bed on the overland and couldn’t keep the wheels on the ground. But normal riding without the weight... no way!

I believe they add 450 lbs for the test.
