P1000 Tiger Tail on a 1000

Anybody got one mounted up and used out on the trails? Looks like I may need a short extension to clear the plastic muffler guard. Wondering if anyone has got it to fit without extensions or if you have been banging it around on the trails with an extension.

I got the KFI one that is rated at 12,000#. Maybe the 8,00# might fit a little better. I'll mess with it some more to see if I can make it work. If not, I guess I could use it with the pick up and order the smaller one.

Got the Tiger Tail installed.

Had drill out new pin hole to use the vertical holes on the receiver. The hook sticks out 3" past the rear bumper and 18" off the ground.

I wonder if there is a way to mount it on the rear without having to put it in the reese hitch I am constantly using reese hit for other things?

It is more for trail riding and mud bogging when everyone else is getting stuck. Just have to pull it off and slide in you attachment of choice for work days.

I get it. I think the tiger tail is outstanding as I’ve seen it in action. Just not on a Pioneer 1000 and I was just wanting to know from long time users how the cable and/or mechanism has held up being that close to the muffler. Gets pretty hot back there.
