How are you guys doing this? Drill a 3/8" hole in each mount and run a rod between them? Nuts only on the end or inside the mounts as well? I know I've seen pictures on here but of course I can't find them now.

I'm getting tired of my light vibrating loose.

Putting nuts on the backside isn't really necessary but wouldn't hurt I guess. The main thing is you can only get the screws so tight into the light with them being cast aluminum, they want to strip out. You're basically just keeping the two brackets from separating, which is why they work loose. Yes, just drill a hole in each bracket as high as you can get it without interfering with the light housing. Curved bars are more difficult, roof line comes into play.

I had this issue but instead I made some 6mm studs and used red loctite into the lightbar, then put lock washers & nylocks on the outside of the bracket
