P1000m5 Those with factory roof option 1000-5

How far above the roll cage does the factory roof sit?

Does it stick out behind the roll cage at all?

Can you leave it on while towing on an open trailer on the freeway?

The height and how far it sticks out in the back are critical for my toyhauler since it only has a 10’ garage.

It sits about 3” higher than the cage. And about the same behind. I tow it on an open trailer all the time.

If you expand my picture you can see it from front to back. Sides are pretty form fitting. You’ll have hang over front and rear for water roll off. Logan has the figures bout right or close enough.

It has (6) points of attachment to the roll cage. I have driven 75 mph with a open trailer, no issues of it coming off. Hindsite for me I wish I went with an aluminum roof so I could build a roof rack on top for tools and etc. That is if it is a concern to you

I tow all the time and scrub my roof on trees in tight trails no problems so far. I also have the super atv windshield I tow with it flipped open without an issue.

I tow 75 to 80 miles an hour for 250 miles without an issue. No windshield yet either.

The only thing that sucks about the factory roof................if you don't have a windshield, or leave yours at home because there was only a 7% chance of rain.......... is it dumps all the water right on your dash/knees. I shot a nice Muley and had to go back the next day to recover him, but got DRENCHED! I noticed on the TERYX factory roof, and the Ranger factory roof that they have a "gutter" lip on the front all the way across..............sad Honda, just saying........

I was teaching my nephew to drive my Honda after a heavy rain he nailed it in reverse soaked us both with the windshield flipped up. I was reaching for the handle to pull it down and didn't do it quick enough.

Love the shade. Don't love the look. Kinda makes me think golf-cart. An angry, bully golf-cart.

I bang it into brush and limbs which would otherwise dump a lot of debris in the cab, keeps the lion's share out.

Would love to move to an aluminum with roof rack.

We have the roof from the 1000-3 on our 1000-5 and like it better than the full cover. Rarely do we have anybody in the back seats
