Sxsclub winch switch ?

I just installed a Harbor Freight winch and didn’t like the switch that came with it so I used the club winch harness and switch. The club set up is sweet and simple to install and the premium switch fit well in my panel. 1st ? I ran the hot through a fuse box so what size fuse should I use on it.
2nd ? Can I use the original wiring harness in conjunction with the club harness in order to use the wired remote. Has anyone done this.

Yes.
Does it connect via spade or bullet connectors?
Most all the winches are the same.
For the control power. 5A fuse will be fine.

Spade connectors. The connectors on the club harness look like they are designed to have other connectors piggybacked on them. I’ll try it today. Thanks.

Yep, just piggyback it. I did it with mine in the off chance the switch stops working.

Works great. I whittled the original hf harness down to just the port for the remote and enough to hook up selenoid and positive. Piggy back on back on club connectors then switch the wires till they agree with the in out on the remote. Zip tied the port to the grill. The switch is in the store. It’s worth it for the premium switch.
