I live in the boonies of northern Michigan and it's a fairly low crime area. But I still keep my Pioneer in the garage with the door padlocked. My neighbor stores his in his yard and even advertises it on the cover.

That mule in that picture sets outside under that cover and when the ground gets wets it rots under there cause the moisture can't get out.

I keep my P500 in the basement garage. The grounds are patrolled by this 95 lbs miserable creature. She's not tolerant of any stranger coming on the place. Neither am I...
