I've decided I would like a windshield to use about 3 months per year in the winter. Living in Texas, I won't need it year round. It looks like the super atv flip up windshield would work best for me for the following reasons:

Moderately priced
Ability to open for ventilation
Ability to open for visibility if it gets muddy
Ability to open to limit dust in cab

See questions below:

Is it really hard coat scratch resistant (I've read that it may not be)?

Will this solve the problem of water running off the honda top and onto my legs when braking?

Can you easily remove the top section for warmer weather leaving the bottom section installed?

Thanks.

I’ve been running mine for about a year and love it!! So has and does my dad and another close friend with them.

It has held up well to resisting scratches..

You won’t get wet if you have a pond above you..

And it wouldn’t be hard to pull the upper.. just a few nuts and it’s released. But I bet you find yourself never taking it off!

This is the windshield I'm getting for the 5seater. I think I will like it much better than the Honda one on the 3seater.

I have one and I'm not sure you will need to remove it in summer. I have run mine full open position at about 40 mph. Also run it on trails open, have not had any problems yet.
But to answer your question, looks like a couple bolts and the air shocks and it' off! 20180119 214928

I DO NOT wipe mine unless I have plenty of water and a clean towel.

If you’re not in a huge hurry.. keep an eye on them and they’ll run sales every so often.
I'm not. Looks like they've gone up on price quute a bit. I couldn't find a coupon code that worked for their site, but did find it for $399 through other vendors.

I read there were issues with the clamps early. Looks like they are better now?

I have moved mine up once. But I have OCD and the dealer installed it. So I had to go back over every bolt.

Heck I even completey removed and reinstalled my front bumper. The bolts were not all tight and it was a little crocked.

Yes.. the clamps are no issue at all. 2 things.

One.. it doesn’t seal against the roof so you will have a gap unless you fill it. Which isn’t hard to do.

2.. I suggest putting some grease between the rops and clamps to help reduce squeaking.

Thanks. I've read where some have used pool noodles or pipe insulation to close off the gap. It probably won't be much of an issue for me. I dont ride on the road much, or at high speed. Doesnt rain here alot either.

Call Super ATV up and get a price. They discounted mine this way!
I would second this.. I always call and ask them what’s the best they can offer me the product @.. and tell them you’re a Hondasxs forum member and you heard about it here.

Is there a formed lip (45°bend) across the top of the SuperATV lower half windshield? I have the SATV half windshield and if it's about 60° it blocks way too much air because the top lip deflects the air over your head
