Multi Stripped Battery Cover well nut, P500 issue.

Had problems getting the bolts out of battery cover. Can’t believe Honda would cheap out on them had to be stripped at factory.anyhow drilled them out and put new nuts and bolts on all good now.

Bottoms battery box bolt worked as it should. Top one stripped and had to really work to get out. For top I now use heavy duty plastic ties....so far so good, and much easier to change out if need be.

Yep, I would check that first if I ever buy another one. I remember, I ran completely out of cuss words and had to start repeating myself, and that does not happen too often.

I’m with ya...had to remove entire box to fix...ended up putting in a strong plastic tie....still on 2 years later....went through deer camp and southern mud & glud no problems. Now, just snip it off and R&R when getting into battery box. Faster than messing with bolts/nuts/screws....bottom bolt ok
