I needed some more sound with a little bump in it. Had an 8" RF subwoofer and amplifier sitting in garage. The marine pods on back bar just wasn't enough for me!

I wanted easy, but didn't want $1,000 JL price tag. Plus, I like that space for some storage. Extra tow rope etc. So I built a custom box and Raptor lined it. Sounds pretty good. The 2" port is like Air Conditioning for my legs.

I did the "curve" or angle in box design so my copilot can still ride in front if she wants!

Added a few dash speakers too. Had to make some spacers because they were hitting the new deeper cup holders.

Then it was a matter of finding a place for the amplifier. So I welded a bracket across top of battery #1, tapped the bar for screws, and stuck it on top of everything to hopefully stay high and dry.

I already had everything except the wood. I thought wood prices had gone back down? WTH!

I like the idea. I have a co-pilot about the same size. I wondered though, is it waterproof/water resistant for a power wash when needed or do you have to remove it?

I believe it is water proof with exception of the port hole. Looking at finding some sort of plug/cork to stuff in there.
Like a sink drain or something. I'm sure I will makeshift something.

I used a whole quart of Raptop liner inside and out.
