My 16 p500 stalled on the trail and wouldn't start. When it would start after a while would run for min then die. Acted like it was fuel starved. And no it wasn't out of gas. Any ideas?

Maybe bad gas or trash in tank? Bad angle sensor? Could be a lot of things.

@Chipper20, Welcome to the club. I hate seeing issues like this bring people here. But that is why we are here.

Tell us more about your rig.
- Is it new?
- Do you keep it outside?
- Have you recently washed it?
- Has it set in the rain?

I agree with above, sounds like water in the fuel. I would pump it all out and fill with at least 2 gallons of high test and see what you get.

Please keep us updated on what you find.

I figured out the problem. It's a 16 500 miles on it. Wiring harness was loose and allowed ignition coil wire to get to close to exhaust. I fixed the wire and put harness back where it should have been. Check plug because it backfired and it was cracked too. Problem solved. Got lucky

Bit of a long shot but make sure the wire loom didn't rub on the engine.
I heard the loom right behind the battery box can be close to the engine.
If a random wire shorts out who knows what will fail.

(Note to long time members - this is not a thread about the battery box, how crappy it is, nor how we should get out the pitchforks and torches to "get " the rascal that inflicted it upon us)
