P1000 Stage 2 Elkas

Any thoughts on the Stage 2 Elkas vs. the Fox Qs3's. The Elkas are about $650 a set. Looking for a 2016 1000-5, trails I ride are in north east WI sand and hard pack county forest roads. The sand trails can be fairly rough at times (washboard). Thanks in advance!

My Elka stage 5's are great, I think any shock other than stock is a huge improvement. Can you send the stage 2's in for upgrade to 3, 4 or 5's? The 5's are very expensive. $ 650 a set =
$ 1,300.00 for all four corners, I would look real hard at the Fox's or Walker Evans. I know a lot of folks here that are very happy with them! I think the Elka's come more set up for how you ride and terrain, you ride on.

Yea, and I didn't like the wham on the front! Think Honda Japanese engineers didn't take in to account for added weight of a winch, with the stock springs rates.

That's what I think, unless your a suspension junkie, I like the rebound adjustment on the 5's , you running Fox's?

Yeah.. now I’m not saying the foxes are the best shock out there. But the bang for the buck is hard to beat.

I agree! Fox has been around for a long time.

Stage 2 has rebound adjustment only. For the front, u would like the stage 3 more for compression. Rear, u would want more rebound adjustment like stage 2 unless your running a lot of different weights where compression matters. Fox or walker are hard to beat for price and revalving options in the states.

Do the fox I did and you can’t beat them. That price on eBay and Amazon is the best you’ll find. Dosnt change or go on sale either. Just press add to cart then purchase. All done

Look up pearl river Honda.. they had the best price on shocks. $650 shipped to your door.

I was able to make an awesome purchase on some fox shocks. Mine should arrive Monday according to the FedEx tracking I received. There is another member on here who private messaged me and was able to get his set for $1100.

You may have to check this sellers stock. He is open to offers if you message him.

As of 9:35PM central 7-30-22 I just checked his store and he has red fronts and silver rears.

If you plan on changing the shocks to a different rate the color won't matter too much.

P1000m5 - Fox shocks: Guidance on a good purchase I made

I just purchased these for my 2020 pioneer 1000-5 and as far as I know they should fit and work well just the rate is different from the 3 seater to the 5 seater. I plan on changing springs either way if I had I purchased new or not. These are supposed to be new open box. I made an offer of $900...
