P1000 Sport mode

May be a silly question but does the p1k shift automatically when in sport mode.

Yes, just holds the shifts a hair longer.

I usually use sport mode when I have the tracks on and I'm in heavy snow. If I don't the machine is forever shifting up and down. On hard packed trail I just use the AT .

I don't use sport mode much, but have found it really nice on hills.

Not big hill climbs, mind you - just trail hills. It keeps the machine running better rpm's for the grade.

Yep. Same here. Keeps it from lugging in a higher gear
