I rode about 7 or 8 miles today through trails at my inlaws. It was mostly hardwoods and a few fields. I think I picked up every single spiderweb with my face. Unfortunately I had just removed the top portion of the windshield to allow more airflow. This may sound stupid but had anybody every mounted anything on the front of their machine to catch spiderwebs before they get in your face, like maybe a couple of whip antennas. I know the obvious answer is the windshield, but I really like it off. Maybe this isn't a problem for anybody else, or maybe it's only a problem for the first guy down the trail.

A Bug Buster windscreen is awesome but expensive.

Some guys mount whips like you mentioned.

Just an old cb antenna i had lying around. Thinking about adding a second. Definitely helps. 20170830 153954 20170830 153939

I made my own...probably not as good as that one but only cost 20 or so bucks to make.
P1000 - home made bug screen
That turned out really well, I may have to look into that. I don't like a full windshield in the summer, but that should still let plenty of air through and prevent that backdraft of dust. Don't have an extra one laying around do you lol?

I thought they call those mounted poles, "Smitty Sticks".
