Snow plow question

Does anyone else run carbide cutting edges

Actually I'm thinking of going the other direction and adding some rubber matting to the bottom of my snowplow.

Put conveyor belt material on mine last yr. Doesn't tear up the control joints in the concrete anymore and still cuts good.

The only pavement I have is the seal coat road I push snow across everything else is gravel grass pasture corn fields
The original cut edge was almost wore out in in under 2 years

I use 1/2" UHMW. It gets down to bare concrete and it way quieter.

I also have powered down force with my linear actuator set up and the UHMW pulls while backing very well.

It works great. Even if you're plowing with the plow up, it doesn't ride up as the snow gets deep.

The local plastic supply place sold me a 3"x72"x1/2" UHMW drop for $25. That was way cheaper than the steel replacement blade edge

That's a good deal
The only reason I went with the carbide sections is they may or may not have been free and I wanted more weight
