I’m in the market for a skid plate for my ’21 1000 5. My trail riding style can be best described as “Old and in the Way” and I also use it around the house. Sometimes when the misses isn’t around I may try something a little more challenging.

There are so many options I’m unsure what would be a good option Along with quality. I would like to stay under $700 with the plate package that includes a-arm protection.

There are sooo many options. I've narrowed it down to a few manufactures.

I'm lean toward the SuperATV as it is thicker uses proprietary material and the front bends up into the wheel well. @SuperATV

You can't go wrong with FUTV Ultimate skid plates set, but you won't get that quality for under $700.

I like this FUTV also, but didn't include it because of the $700 budget.
You won't get SSS or SuperATV skids & A-arm guards for under $700 either.

I’m happy with my tusk 3/8 UHMD. I don’t run arm guards.

The SSS brand is a 4 piece and the superatv appears to be a 1piece. I don’t have a good place to install it as I only have a gravel parking deck which is also the only semi level spot at my house. I more than likely will be installing with no help so I’m leaning toward the SSS brand. I’ve already made up my mind I’m going to have to spend around $900.

Superatv skids seem to be the best deal going unless they end up being junk. Which I doubt. I have trail armor with over 7500 miles on them and I'm happy. But now I would buy superatv to save some money.
