I'm sure it would work better mounted up high but it does really well. Not sure how far it will reach but at the takeover I had no problem hearing anyone in our group or occasionally picking up other groups.

I might have to have that. I have a 30” on the bumper thinking nothing would work higher up except the roof, which I can’t install there due on o how it fits in my trailer/camper.

I’m looking at the same kit, but already bought 10 Honda factory mounting clamps for ROPS. The same ones the dealer used to install my factory roof. Let us know if this kit works for your rig

I have one front and rear and both mounted up high. Screwed right into the plastic top. Been 3 years and NO trouble at all leaking or getting loose. I bought regular truck lights much cheaper than specialty ones.

If you mount it too low (bumper) you’re going to get a lot of shadows and not be able to see the road as well. Much more so if rocky or crossing water.

Up high I think you will be much happier with and will see it all! World and day difference between the headlights & a bar.

Have a 42 front and 32 rear. 240W and 180W. I didn’t wire with the ignition because there were too many times it’s nice just to hit the switch without worrying about starting. But the battery won’t last you all that long so I wouldn’t recommend doing it more than 5 mins.

I would highly recommend putting on both.

I have also found very little difference between a 32, 42 or 56 Doesn’t have a lot to do with the lights length as much as watts. I have a 22” that’s twice as bright as a 42”
