I just finished a simple fishing rod holder. I saw more complicated/expensive holders online and other time-consuming DIY builds here in the forum. I always try to KISS (keep it simple stupid)!
Soooo I bought some simple velcro roof straps from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z857WW2?tag=sxsweb24-20) and fitted them to the roll cage. A few extra zip ties and voila! Really meant for my kids 6 foot spincast reels. Longer fly rods I break down anyway.
Fits snugly in the carport, will take them out for trials in Maine here in a few weeks!
