Stay safe and cover your head! We are right about the top of the red L. Hopefully they go on either side. After Katrina it would have to be pretty severe.I'm the blue dot.View attachment 219742
There's already a ply board shortage and if we have two storms hit the South East coast, no telling what ply board will cost, if you are building something that requires ply board, better lock a price in now and get it ordered, ASAP!Stay safe and cover your head! I think we are far enough away from the Coast that we won't need plywood. The winds got up over 100 mph here during Katrina. No plywood needed but it was hot and we had no electricity for 10 days. It was hard getting gasoline for the generator and such. There's already a ply board shortage and if we have two storms hit the South East coast, no telling what ply board will cost, if you are building something that requires ply board, better lock a price in now and get it ordered, ASAP!
No doubt! We are in the beginning stages of remodeling our beach house due to a bat infestation. Normally 1/2" CDX is about 15.00 per sheet. We just paid 26.00 per sheet at Lowes and other places had quoted us 30-35 per sheet. We bought a whole pack (72 pieces) of that and a pack of spruce framing studs. We won't use all of them but I bet I'll be able to sell what we don't.
Shingles are also in short supply! No doubt!

Sorry this all my fault, I finally broke down and bought a generator for the house. Hope I do not need to use it.I'm the blue dot.View attachment 219742

Watched the forecast this morning looks like there going track a little west of you, but Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas watch out. Watch what gas and building materials don't ^^^^^^^
