Anyone have upgraded shocks for a 2018 pioneer 1000-5 deluxe that they are looking to sell? Looking to upgrade the stocks? Are fox the best options and does anyone on here have any for sale?

Elka shocks are some of the best and well worth checking out. I have had them on my last 2 quads and am thinking of purchasing them for my Pioneer

Any aftermarket shock system should be better then the factory especially at speed, I think most are happy with thier purchases. Makes a big difference. Fox are easy and good price point.

I am pretty happy with the ride of my deluxe and like the idea of the self adjusting rear shocks. Has anyone put the fox shocks on the front and left the stock rears shocks on?

I thought same originally. We bought fronts first. Next day bought rears. Carried large loads and no biggie. It’s a no mess around purchase but they are nice especially at speed or heavy bump.

I am reading about fox vs Elka stage 3's vs 814's. Does anyone have personal experience with any of these on a P10005? I am trying to decide between these and i can't seem to come up with a clear cut winner.

So the ride is much better than stock? Do you keep them on factory settings?

Great, thank you.
Were they bolt in or did you need to modify anything. I have read there may be some grinding involved.

The install is easy 2-2.5 hr start to finish depending on how handy you are and how many breaks you take. There is an install video of the 814 shocks on a 1000-5 on YouTube.

I have the 814s for the money they are hard to beat. I could sit and explain the difference but the truth is if you don't already know than you don't need to spend the extra money because you will never use the other shock to the point that you will get the extra moneys worth out of them. It take an extreme rider that is pushing a shock to the max to know the difference. And the 814s actually work better till you are using them at that level.
