If doing any welding...disconnect
the positive battery cable....
he also said..if ya dont..first problem
...you will have ..is fuel pump..
Very true if you don't have a good ground and have an ark from where your welding ground is mated to the frame you also can fry your computor.

Never even seen one before. OTC is a pretty rep company, but my problem is you can just disconnect the batt for free.

On a modern car with tons of modules that sometimes need to be "reinitialized" after a battery disconnect, i can see it being more useful...but then again, you can just use a memory saver device for about the same money and (to me) less risk. To me, its kinda hard to justify.

We use them where I work building custom work modules on base chassis. No issues I know of.

Actually, you should always disconnect the negative cable first. It is the only cable that needs to be disconnected.

but wat your explaining..don't make
sense...if ya leave..positive cable
connected...disconnect the neg...
...when he puts his ground on..to
...weld...your machine..is juiced up
.....again..with power..
I'm all ears...

Pulling both is fine. But still be sure to remove the negative first. No sparks or shorts if your wrench also touches metal while touching the negative post.
