What does everybody use to secure your switch panels in the dash? I want something that can be removed fairly easily as I’ll be adding accessories over time and need access to it.

I used the plastic push pins to secure my switch panel. 😉😎

Ok here’s a rookie question. I bought a 100 pack of the Honda push pins figuring this d need them for different add ons. What size drill bit do I use? I used them to add rear cup holders and first ride out with them they both fell off. Guessing i used to big of a drill bit.

Last time I put one in a new spot I pulled one of the factory ones and sized my drill bit based on that hole.

There are different sizes out there. Can you post the part number of the ones you have?

I’m not sure but I think I used a 5/16” drill bit. I’ll check later. 10mm is smaller than 7/16” 😉

I use pushpins also.
Never use rivets. You will be drilling them out before the end of the week.
Short screws work great in place of rivets.
I second this. I was all proud off my set up and riveted the panel in only to find I had accidentally unplugged a hot to one switch. Lol. Its screwed in now for easy access.

I use rivet nuts and small Allen head screws. Some people call them nutserts.

@TripleB what size did you use? I am trying in the scrap plastic and they don't bulge behind the plastic.

I'm not sure. I will try and look tomorrow. I'm thinking m5 but that might be way off.

I used these rivnuts from McMaster Carr that are designed for soft materials. Secured the panel with 10-32 allen head socket cap screws.
