Good evening everyone
Looking to add second battery on my new 2024 pioneer 1000-5. Wondering where the best place is to connect negative to frame.

Anyplace on the frame you see fit or is easiest for you reach. Ground is a ground on a frame.

I did this.
OEM hole in the left upper frame, under the hood. Ground the powder coat off, tapped and threaded in a bolt, dialetric grease.
2nd battery, Isolator and accessory fuse box grounded here.

I'd add an Auxbeam from the club store, if doing it all over again.
Neat and saves space.

I used the OEM ground wire(blue tape) to connect my winch.

Good luck.

There is no optional ground from factory on this year model. Dealer used a wire straight from battery to winch contactor. I appreciate all the replies. Not really seeing where you drilled and tapped Dirtstiffs-1000? Thanks again everyone

My apologies, I completely forgot they'd changed that.

I did the same thing, but used the bracket located in the center. Pushed out the clip holding the fat wiring harness which was then zip tied to the bar. Had to open it up a bit to get a bolt in there, and yes, definitely use dielectric grease. Very easy to reach in this location.
