Safety Nets

I removed the side safety nets on my Pioneer-4 yesterday. Has anyone else done this. They were always getting in the way, and we never latched them, so I just decided to take them off.

Anyone know if it's against the law to do this?

I don't think it is against the law. It's just a extra layer of safety Honda has imposed.
I been thinking of removing mine.
Seen some pics of a guy who removed his. Don't know where.. It did make it look better I think.

I took my front nets off but left the back ones on just incase I take my nephews. Not that I ever get crazy but you never know.

My dealer never installed them. I have them but doubt I will ever put them on.

Finally was able to break the screws loose the other night and got them off.

Mine will have to go also. Dealer said they had to install them.

Ya, I fairly sure they are required to install them. Or you good delivery of an "unsafe" Pioneer. And they don't want that.

Its the first thing I did to my Pioneer. They will not be used (by us) and are just a nuisance IMO. Keeps the lawyers at bay I suppose.

They would not work very nicely with my fabric doors or with so many things we do.

My dealer had to install them, but I told the techs that once it's on my trailer, they're coming off….small bolts holding them were hand tight.

Not mine. I tried to use a standard allen wrench, and almost stripped two. I ran up to Lowes and bought the socket type, and they worked much better.

5mm by the way.

Had to do the same thing felt like I was going to break my t-handles, they were torqued down and loctited.
