I've seen some good reviews from people that put Rzr 570 rear shocks on the front of their 700's. I've found a set off a 2015 Rzr 570. They measure (according to seller) 18-3/4" center to center. Will these fit the front of my 700-4? Thanks in advance for any help!

You are the first I have heard say that 570 shocks will fit.

There were several posting about it on the Pioneer FB page. They claim it rides 100% better....soaks up the bumps far better than stock shocks on Pioneer. For $125 I think I'll give it a whirl. I ride really rocky trails, so any improvement will help.

  3. Do not currently own
I'm confident many 700 owners will be anxious to hear a report after the install/ride... :)

I’ve installed them and they ride amazing compared to the stock shocks on the P700. In fact I like them so much I’ve picked up a pair that I’m going to try to fit on the rear next week. I also picked up a set of 1” spring spacers that I’m going to play around with a little. The rzr 570 shocks I put on give a slight amount of body roll over the stock shocks But nothing major. Im hopeful that the spring spacers will add some preload giving me some lift and eliminating the slight amount of body roll.

I used the rzr springs. I don’t think the Honda springs would fit on the rzr shock as it is much larger.

They were the rear shocks from a 2013 rzr 570. They measure approximately 19 1/4” eye to eye. I had to spread the bottom shock mount slightly with an adjustable wrench but nothing major. They were pretty much a direct bolt on. I can easily cruise 10-15 mph faster without fear of bottoming the front end out.

John1906-
I am interested to see how these hold up and you thoughts after running them a while. Please update us.

Diverguy- did you end up ordering a set? If so, feedback? Anyone have any pics?
Thx!

I found a guy selling a full set of take-offs (at under 100 mi) on Craigslist for $125. I'm amazed at the difference in ride quality. No need to slow down for the "whoops" any more.

Nice! Just clarifying, you used RZR 570 shocks- fronts on front and rears and on rear and they were direct bolt on? This sounds like a great upgrade at a reasonable price.

No, I only used the rzr rear shocks on the front of my Pioneer. I didn’t use the front shocks, but seller wouldn’t split the set. I had to slightly open up the lower bracket as others said. Took 30 min. I’m really happy with the ride.

I just finished up mounting rzr 800 rear shocks on the rear of my P700. They were a little on the soft side so I added 1” spring spacers. This brought the rear up about 1 1/2”. I then added a 1/2” spacer to the 570 shocks on the front end. This brought the entire bike up about 1 1/2”. Just playing around in my neighborhood I can tell a big difference in the way it handles. I’m pretty happy with the way this came out. Forgot to mention I had to swap the sleeves from the stock shocks to the rzr shocks on the rear.

I like the mod and want to do the same (as opposed to commander springs). Where did you get the spring spacers? Did you buy them or did you cut your own from plumbing pipe and if you did, what was the inside diameter?
