Good evening all,
I wrapped the side bars…not sure of technical name…with foam to help save my ribs in certain situations. Overall I think it’s fine especially for the $3 I spent on pre-slit pipe insulation but I would like to cover them to help prolong their life.
Does anyone own a sewing machine that would like to help a friend out and make some simple velcro or zippered covers?
Obviously willing to pay for time and materials…maybe some 🍺 money

I purchased some covers that velcro together to cover hydraulic lines on my tractor. I can't post a picture because I left the tractor in Arkansas last weekend. They are big enough to cover two lines that are around 1 inch each. I got them from a bearing supply shop in Shreveport, La., that makes hoses and repairs hydraulic cylinders.

Reach out to any company or outfit that makes replacement boat canvas and related accessories.

Most boats (with canvas bimini tops and canvas/Eisenglass sides like in the pic below) have canvas "tubes" w/Velcro along the long edge to keep the Eisenglass from touching the hot metal of the bimini top.

I'm sure they could make these tubes larger to fit a bigger diameter tube (your pipe insulation or maybe a swim noodle).

Those rib busters are much smaller on my 2016 model.
I think a matabo and a grinder would fix them permanently. :p
