Rimrocker trail Colorado

Stumbled across information on the Rimrocker trail from Montrose Co.to Moab Ut. 160 miles one way. Has anybody ridden this and is there any way to ride it all the way in a UTV legally?

from what I found it looks like you can't at this time due to a section that runs on Rt 141 for a short distance, they are trying to get a work around. looks like it would be fun.

I am in for it if anyone wants to try it.... haven’t done any research ... but is this little detour something we just ante up and give it a try??? 200 fine if caught?? I am old enough and have gotten away with so much stuff I should have been caught and fined for?.... that I call that pilgrims third corollary..... go ahead and do it..... worst thing could happen is a fine I probably owe someone anyway.....

I had planned on doing the Rimrocker when we were out there last month but parts of it were closed at the time because of wildfires. Will probably ride it next September when we go back to that part of the country.

Well Pilgrim, I doubt that they would ticket you and let you continue on driving on 141....

I've looked at the maps and watched a few videos of RimRocker and Kokopelli. Kokopelli looks like more UTV fun. But it would be awesome to ride both of these trails. Wish there were made for a roundtrip catching both trails as a loop. One day I'm going to do this!!

I have heard that there is a way to ride the complete trail in a utv now, there was a bypass for the 141 section. Anyone know if this is true and anyone want to ride this trail this year?

This would be such a fun trip! I wish there was a way to take the rim rocker trail one way and return on the kokopelli trail. That would be awesome!

About two years ago Moab was ticketing any non plated SxS (and looking for them). An OHV sticker did NOT mean streetable. Moab's popularity is turning it into a tourist trap s*** show unless you're into that type of human cluster @#$%.

According to this website, the entire trail is accessible and legal for non street legal OHV’s. It’s down to 1.4 miles of travel on hwy 141.
