What is the advantage of having a larger rim diameter on a UTV? the base model P1000 has 27 x 9 (or 11) - 12 rims and the P 1000 Deluxe has P1000 27 x 9 (or 11) - 14 rims. The tire height and diameter of both wheels is the same. The only difference is the aspect ratio. On a car a smaller aspect ratio gives quicker and more nimble response to steering input and a larger aspect ratio offers more protection when going over pot holes rough road

The only advantage I like of a 14 inch rim, is you have a better selection of tires. Especially if you go with 30 inch tires.
