Has anyone removed their nets off the pioneer 500. Curious because they seem to get in the way while hunting from it and flap around on the trailer. What is the purpose of them? They remove pretty easily and was thinking about keeping them off but was concerned about any safety reason for putting them back on. It looks really good with them off and now can shoot out of the sides and have better viewing while driving.

they are intended to keep body parts inside the machine in case of a roll over. That was the first thing to come off mine, I have a 700-4, I left the rear ones on for the dogs

Took mine off within the first hour. Knew from the start they were not going to be on there for long. I ordered the cab enclosure due to rain & cool weather here in AK. It is a much better alternative than the nets, and being cold/wet. Ha! Bewtween the ROPS & the seat-belts, the nets seemed to be superfluous.

I haven't seen many pics with a full cab enclosure on a P500. I knew from the start that I would have one, as this is my primary transportation here in AK. It has been fairly good. The cab doesn't seal completely, but blocks 90% or more of the wind and rain. I also wish Honda (or anyone) made a hard cab with a glass windshield (and wiper) for the P500. If the P700 had not been too big to fit on the existing trails, I would have bought one for those reasons alone. While I have been very pleased with my rig so far, this is one aftermarket purchase I would be happy to spend money on. Hopefully, in the next few months, someone will come out with one.

Guess I am the odd one out here - we keep ours on. We ride a lot of tight woods with a lot of brush, limbs and crap that hangs down and sticks out and found the nets really help keep us from getting slapped upside the head when riding....

I'm at a crossroads on what to do with mine. The fact they are attached to the door and you don't have to mess with them makes it an attractive choice to leave on so weeds and limbs don't smack you upside the face. Nothing like a wayward blackberry briar to turn your wife into David Allen Coe for 5 minutes straight.

I just rolled mine down and secured them with velcro cord wraps. Now I can put them up quickly if I want to.
