Has anyone else noticed what a pain in the A it is to install the lock pin? What genius do you think came up with the verticle hole in the place where a horizontal hole should be and putting the horizontal hole in a cramped position where it is difficult to utilize? I have three receiver insert bars and none have a verticle hole. I don't recall ever seeing one either.

I ended up drilling a new hole in my hitch. It did not help make it easier, it just helps to make the hitch out far enough so the trailer won't contact the muffler cover

I usually lose skin when pulling the pin

I spent about 10 seconds trying to install the pin. When I saw it was a PITA, I went to my bolt bin grabbed a bolt, a few flat washers, and a side locking nut. Don't plan on using anything other than the receiver so for me, problem solved!
