i put them close to the bumper mount and inside of the frame for extra support

That's what I did with mine but I cut metal conduit to put inside the frame to keep it from pushing when I tightened the eye bolts.

Those eye bolts make good tie down points don't they?

Are these for transport/trailering or for gear rigging? For transport I hook inside the holes in the frame at the bottom. The lower the better.

I always try to tie low. Less strap between trailer and machine.

i like tie high crank the shocks down tight but to each their own ( motocross days crank bike down at the bars)

My eye bolds are use for trailering and I have not had any problems, everything stays tight.
