I guess i have to ask rear rim on the front.I had mine on there fit fine nothing hit BUT did not turn wheels. So if i ran a 27 /9/14 on that wheel would that be good enought to get me out of the woods.I know the trip would be ruined but back to the truck.

If you're going to carry a stock wheel for a spare, carry a front, not a rear. That way, no clearance issues no matter where you run it.

Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but if you have a rear spare….carry it when you feel the need. It’ll get you back to the truck. If you buy a full set of rims/tires just buy the 5th and you’re set. If you stay factory just watch for someone local to sell you a takeoff at a fair price. Run what ya brung in the meantime.

The above said…a plug kit (far more plugs than you think you need), sidewall slug and an air compressor will also get you off the trail the vast majority of the time. If I was going out solo and farther than I want to risk walking back then…I’d take the spare too.

My opinion being worth exactly what you paid for it of course. 🤣

I think the issue might be when you turn it could possibly cut into your brake lines.......a wheel spacer should help. Like squatch mentioned, I'd keep an eye out for a used front. Even a front 12" stock steel wheel, most times those are sold pretty cheap. Might be worth asking your local dealer too. FYI a can-am has basically the same bolt pattern as well, gives you a few more options...... especially for a spare.

You didn't say you had fronts wheels all the way around.

In that case, carry the "rear" as a spare.

If you get flat on a front tire and can't fix it, move one from the rear to the front and put the "spare" on the rear.

If you get a flat on the rear, just install the "spare" on the rear.

Problem solved. :)
