I saw some pictures of a rear bench someone had made so i took some scrap wood and mocked in a rear bench bottom and slapped some of my shop couch's cushions on it, my son really liked the added leg room on the test run to see how it did for when i ride with them instead of being on my 4 wheeler. BUT doing that didn't allow me to have the factory seat belts functional so rather than doing diy seat belts i picked up some freebies from a friend and went to town on phase 2 of the project.

I removed all the rear seat cushions and cut some scrap wood to form a new base, marked and measured the bolt pattern for the seats out of a rzr 800 their mounting bracket would attach to. Used the handy dandy ole crescent wrench and 3 ft cheater pipe to bend the seat belt buckles ever so slightly into a more vertical position and notched my base accordingly. I plan to rebuild it with a treated piece of 2x12 as my base and configure a stronger mounting setup but it is functional and plenty solid for now. I'm about 6'1 and sitting in the seat my head is still within the roll cage even with the added height so i'll call it a win.
