P1000m5 Public thanks to Trail Armor

While at Royal Blue I must have busted a UHMW skid plate. Not sure how as that stuff is super tough. I contacted Trail Armor and they looked at the pictures and immediately shipped out a replacement panel. That's great customer service and I'll definitely buy from them again.

The strange thing about this breakage is I believe @Hometeam had the same panel break in the same place. Strange huh?

Better a plate than a motor. Cold and plastic don't get along.

I have factory utv and put them to good use this past weekend. They did great and did not break so hopefully they will hold up better but time will tell...

I've beat these skids hard in above freezing weather and not had a problem. I think @Plumber32 is right, they must have froze in that cold river and then smacked a rock.

Is factory utv skids also 1/2" UHMW?

You can get 3/8" or 1/2" but I got 1/2".

This one that cracked is 1/2" as well. For those that use UHMW, maybe cold weather riding one should use more caution.
