P1000 Problem engaging low

Sometimes when cold putting in low is hard to find. I get the dash instead of L. Is cable adjustment hard to do? Anyone else have this problem ?

The cable adjustment is simple and straightforward. Mine was new and didn't want to go in low, after adjusting the cables much better. Do a search here and you can find some threads on how to do it.

For the shift cable you remove the battery and then lift out the cable access plate. The cable has 2 adjuster nuts probably 17mm if I remember right.
