Looking for some ideas for a pre filter for my 1000 , I've seen a few that were thru hood , but i don't want to do that . Just trying to keep a clean look . The old OEM pre filter is worthless .

Whats your part number on the filter ? I have mud here in ky.There are previous posts on this. Some used a rubber extender to move the filter up, center, and a few inches higher - since I'm in Nevada and unlikely to find a deep mud puddle (that's not already claimed by a half dozen ducks and other critters), I just put mine where it's convenient.

Don't hate because I'm bragging!
I have mine set up the same way and it works great. There are previous posts on this.
