P500 Power Steering Failure

I was riding my trails tonight and the power steering failed. It was weird going from smooth to tough. Tomorrow I'll open the hood for a look see. The PS bracket may have somehow slid over? I'll check it in the morning. With the lower half of the SuperATV windshield, its more of a PITA to move out of the way and I don't want to loose the bolts at night.

Agree, Sounds like a fuse or loose electrical connection, a PITA like your radiator fan wire smash. Check for voltage on white ignition-on lead first then main motor power leads, then ensure good ground connections, IMO. Too many Flops! LOL. Hope its an easy fix, which brand unit do you have? Pics from Super ATV EZ steer if it helps.

I was obviously able to steer but I had gotten used to the power steering so it was a bit stiff when it went out.

Check all you connections. I had that happen to me and it was the white wire not making a good connection. The little red light will flash a code if it is a electronic failure.

The power steering kit was aftermarket.

They are a little harder to turn than stock.I took my power loose just to see.If mine goes out and can't repair,I'll buy another,I'm spoiled by it.
One thing to think about,many full sized vehicles use electric ps nowadays,even full size pick-up trucks.

I went out "After Market" and when I went to move it over to the tools, it steered fine and has so a couple times today. I just took a few turns around the trails to test the light bar @CumminsPusher helped me to install. Forking thing lights up the trails! Anyway's, the PS seems to be working fine again. It was a busy day today so I never opened it up to check it out. I did eat a bunch of Pork and Crawfish Boudin though!!!
