Dear Hondasxs pioneer 1000-5 owners,

My wife and I were riding today and we went all over the place. We took our kayaks with us and I came to the realization of a neat new roof idea;

It's removable, provided sun protection, and super functional! To top it all off it cost about the same as our 1000-5 roofs do anyways!

Our Hobie Kayaks were a lot more expensive than a Honda roof, but I like the idea! Take any fishing poles? A Kayak is the most stealthy fishing rig around period!

We did not have any fishing poles with us. We are on vacation and doing some joy riding/swimming/kayaking. We bought the kayaks 2 years ago on a whim from Walmart and we paid 225 each for them then. Turned out we loved it. We just got the pioneer last month. We decided to put the 3 together yesterday. Then we had family members buy kayaks as well and it somehow turned out that our lifetime brands were the favorite. While we were driving around I just realized while I was talking to my wife the kayak roof worked out keeping the sun off us and kept trees out of our heads on the trails. I purchased a Honda roof before we left from eBay. It was delivered Wednesday. I saw the guy on my camera deliver it. He literally left it in my yard. I was kind of upset. I had family come over and move it into the barn. So I will have a real roof when we get home we are using a harbor freight canvas bungeed to the cage for our current roof for now.
