I'm sure everyone has seen the Sak-It mesh trash sack things by now. I bought one a few years ago and it lives in the Pioneer. Think it was $25 at the time:
Anyway, I'm a cheap bastard. Saw these Keeper Tailgate Safety Flags at Home Depot for $4.98:
Buy 2, get some Harbor Freight bungee balls, then get some small zip-ties and zip-tie them together.... BOOM poor man's Sak It for around $10 and 5 minutes of your time 🤪

Dropped a full gallon anti-freeze jug in there and it held just fine. Should do the trick for all of the "soda" cans I uhh... pick up off the trail!
