Good information to have. I hope there wouldn't be a flat already in the start of the trek, but best be prepared. So just a little fyi gents, ive been out on a large portion of the soo line trail on my last couple rides(first trail section across MN on the route), and shes got some rough spots. Nothing hard or crazy, just very choppy. Like, rattle your teeth choppy. So there'll be some slow pace needed with trailers in tow. Also seen several flat tires from the rocks that cover the trail in some areas, so be sure to stock up on tire repair supplies before the journey begins.
I hope your replacing the factory tires for the trek.Good information to have. I hope there wouldn't be a flat already in the start of the trek, but best be prepared.
Indubitably! It's not just a matter of practicality, but a DOT requirement, and they're in the post now.I hope your replacing the factory tires for the trek.
One of the flats was a guy with a brand new p1000-5, 56 miles on his machine..I hope your replacing the factory tires for the trek.
Not surprising as the bighorn 2.0's that come on the deluxe are just a 4 ply tire. I would assume the stockers are no better. You might be able to get by with it on a p500 that weights half as much.. but a 2000lbs machine needs a better tire. Kinda pisses me off that their "upgraded" deluxe package doesn't come with a better tire. One of the flats was a guy with a brand new p1000-5, 56 miles on his machine..
Yeah i informed him that his bh 2.0 tires were only 4 plys and he was quite surprised as well. He looked at it as a good reason to buy better tires, his wife...not so much. Oh great i beleive was her response. Not surprising as the bighorn 2.0's that come on the deluxe are just a 4 ply tire. I would assume the stockers are no better. There's some chop in the Wisconsin trails too. Just take our time through it and we should be ok.So just a little fyi gents, ive been out on a large portion of the soo line trail on my last couple rides(first trail section across MN on the route), and shes got some rough spots.
