P700 Pioneer 700

Hi All
I have a pioneer 700 and lately it has started showing a dash (-) in place of the D on the display whilst driving at around 37mph and the drive disengages then the motor revs high If I lift off the accelerator it comes right and if I stay under the speed it’s okay

To me it sounds as though the linkage is out of adjustment.
Adjust and report back what happens.
