P1000 Pioneer 1000 Brake Pads

So after 2400 miles I need to replace my brake pads, lasted about what I expected no big deal, Cost about $34 a set per corner, again no big deal. Then when looking them up the unfathomable of economics, logistics and economy blasted me in the face. A different part number for each corner, really? I could see different sizes front to rear, but couldn't the spring clip just snap on the locating dowel vs 2 part numbers?

The front axles are different part numbers too but they can be interchanged. Maybe the pads are the same? I changed my pads a while back and didn’t pay attention to them that close. But I did take a picture

Perhaps may fit, maybe not, but still the original question if they do fit either side WHY the two / four individual numbers?

Looks like the spring clips are on opposing corners from the pic, than and obvious size difference front to rear, two sets different size I could understand maybe.

Canam Outlander 850 and up probably averaged 300-500 miles on front pads, a few guys I rode with who are harder on brakes get about 250

I'm so glad to be back on a Honda, just reading through the maintenance section of the owners manual put a smile on my face.

I believe you.. I just bet they are the same side to side.

It goes back to Honda pricing.. it doesn’t make any sense.. some things are cheap and other things are outrageously over priced.

I thought that was dealership prices. I bought front ball joints both sides upper and lower for $ 77.40 today and they had them in stock?????? Honda pricing is strange.
