Mount a piece of ram track right under the switch panel. I have my ipad hanging there. Sometimes i rig up my phone, but not too often.
Edit: Walked to my back patio and snapped a pic of my ram track.

Found a few more pics of the ram mount I use with an iPad mini. It gets covered in dust, but having live view on the cameras is pretty fun.

I like that ram track, might give that a whirl. I also have that boss radio ready to go in. Mine is 240 amp over 4 channels, I read where a lot of people didn't need an amp for it. Did you try it without an amp?

I am not running an amp. It is powering two boss wake tower speakers attached to rear roll bar, only time I can't hear it is at 40+ running down the road.

So what are people doing with these baofeng radios? Where do you put the radio so it’s easily hearable and easily reachable to transmit?

I bought the $6 mic from amazon and clipped it to my shirt/jacket.

I’ve got the extended mic. So you have the radio on your belt or what?

i had it on belt, I tried it strapped to ROPS but Im deaf so I couldn't hear what people were saying.

I ordered a Baofeng 25w mobile unit a few mins ago going to see if I can get it mounted up. Ill probably run a bungee cord across and have it dangling near my head so maybe I can hear it.

I have a soft Walmart knock off teti cooler with a pocket I keep my phone in.. and a 4 wheeler saddle bag I put on the rops bar right above the cooler on the seat back. I put my raido and stuff in there and with the mic extention I clip on the cooler flap. Works great!

I use a baofeng radio for hunting. I cut out some foam to fit down in the cup holder to the left of the steering wheel. Then cut out a square in the middle of the foam that holds the radio tight. Works great and I can see it if anyone calls.

I have a couple of cobra radios but the range isn't great at all. What kind of range you get with those?
