Thinking about replacing home my pellet grill. I have had this Treager for at least 5 years, and have used it a LOT!!!
Wonder what everyone else has and there likes and dislikes.
I need to tear into it and see if it's worth rebuilding, or just replace it.

I have a req tec and have been very pleased so far. Has no problem reaching temp in winter without a blanket and does fine job both as smoker or grill.

I have a Pitboss series 7 vertical, they seem to get a bad rep but customer service has always treated me well with any problem.

This is what I run. I've been super happy with it.

Mine is the Ledge Prime 2.0.

Check out the Yoder pellet grills. They are expensive, but built very well.

I’ve had a Traeger for a couple years and like it. Not much help but I would rebuild mine.
After looking at new grill prices, I think I will dismantle mine and rebuild it. Think I can do nearly all the moving parts for less than 1/2 what a new on cost.

Mine is the Treager Pro 34 model

What is the problem with it?
Probably get away with aftermarket ignitors & sensors. Not sure I would go aftermarket on any boards you may need.

I have a Traeger too. I’d definitely look into a repair/rebuild.

IDK..
But I regret not spending the extra $ for one with built-in wifi controls and monitoring.
Ended up spending another $120 for secondary wifi monitoring connections.
And thank god I did... Saved my cook more than once.
Plus, alerts when the target is reached.

The burner portion is rusted out and the auger tube is rusted. Electronics all work fine so i think a few hundred $ and it will be good for a few more years.

I have never used the temp probe or any of the wifi options. I'm old school and like to have a few beers and watch the pit.

I like to start a brisket the night before, the remote temp prob has saved me when i ran out of pellets on a cool night. I use a cheap Amazon 4 probe unit. Leave one probe as smoker temp and set it to alert for low temp.

Yep... 3am and my prob alerted me air temps were falling.
I was cooking for church, so thankful I saved it.
