P1000 Paddle shifter stiff

Got a 2016 Pioneer 1000 eps the shift up paddle shifter is way stiffer. and sticks and want shift smooth as the down shift side. Is there an adjustment or way to loosen it up?

might need to take it loose and lubricate the hinge on it

My description was it 100% it just won't rebound after you pull it to shift gears I've done some research on here and seen people were putting WD-40 on it and curing it but it is spraying where it goes into the steering column or they disassembling at the steering wheel and getting more in debt?
