Anyone have a fan motor for a P500 (700 might be same) that’s heading to TO? Mine appears to be toasted today.

I’m going to try to order one tonight if not.

Thanks!

EDIT...sounds like 700 fan doesn’t fit.

Ive got one off a couple quads and maybe a Talon. But they dont "fit" a Pioneer 500. But they could maybe rig enough to work.

There not on B.O order a anything, only about $93 retail. I doubt youd be coming to through Cincinnati on your way to the T.O. We should be able to get one by the weekend if ordered tomorrow before 2pm.

I have a 1000 fan motor I can pull out.

Voltmeter confirmed “on” with no fan spin.

Immediately after a click on of the key it’d spin the fan maybe an inch or so and stop.

I’ve got the fan motor out now. I can get a new one here Friday. Thinking about just rigging up any 12v electric fan for now to keep things rolling for me in the meantime.

I’m already here in TN. But I appreciate it.

Partszilla doesn't show it as fitting the 700...
Good to know. I will edit first post. Reception was spotty trailside when I made the post and results kept coming up for both the 500 & 700 for some reason.

I double checked and the number is different on my 2020 700, but like @HondaTech said...that don't mean it wont work if push comes to shove.

Hold up... .
The hot of the fan is always hot.. it's constant actually.
The ground is the trigger.

500 is always hot... always constant key-on or off...
700 is hot key-on.
Both are triggered on the ground side.
You need to ground it to properly test it.

Yet.. the P1K and Talon are positive triggered.

I ran with the hood off and could see the fan not kicking on as well. Verified at either 3 or 4 bars again when we got it off the mountain back to RRB. After pulling it could feel and hear grit in it.

Ok..
May have to install one of those addon fans..
You know... the ones that zip tie directly to the rad.
Hopefully an auto parts store has one.

Yeah we got something from Advanced Auto that we should be able to make work for the short term. I will get a proper part ordered as well tonight.

Appreciate everyone’s assistance.

it took some “customization” of the auto parts store fan but it is officially in. Will give it a shake down test tomorrow and confirm all is well with the temporary (or temporarily permanent) fix.

Thanks for the assistance #NTC crew onsite and HondaSxS Nation remotely for helping save my TO trip.
