P520'S _--_ Luck- __- Timing ???

Jan 2021
Dealer called said have P520 & gave 3 hours to get there or calling next on list.
It's a 2 hour drive 1 way I declined.

April 2021
Another another dealer called had 1 coming in Declined that one too.

1/12/2022j
Called 1st. Dealer above asked about P520 availability. He had ( 2022 P520 Gray ) on floor not even on books or serviced & the other guy didn't want to leave a deposit arranged to see the next day & put DEPOSIT on it.
Poor weather delayed pickup 1 day .picked up on 1/15/2021.
Hard to believe story I know.

Sinario here just kept on Enjoying

This Oldie built my 1st. 3 seater SXS back in the -- Seventies -- ( WHEN I WAS Younger )
See the picture
Didn't buy a ATV until 1986 when the TRX350 "RED" HONDA 4x4 came on the market. ( kept that for 14 years )
2000 Honda Forman 450 hit the show room floors.Became next must have.

Back in the Seventies you could Buy -- Small starter House or 3 New Cars --with the $$$$$$$ spent now days on MID size

Those with High End SXS toss in a camp or 2 ( even today Recreation Property is a Great Investment )

I can tell lots of "the way it used to be" stories.

In about 1950 I was 8 years of age. I had a one cylinder horizontal shaft 1 1/2hp Briggs & Stratton engine from a worn-out reel lawn mower, four 10" hard rubber tired wheels, two 1/2" steel rods about 30" long, a 1 x 10" board about 48" long from a construction site in my neighborhood and a 1/2" bolt about 6" long. I also had a Polaris/Can-Am automatic transmission aka a centrifugal clutch and two rubber V belt pulleys.

I cobbled it all together with all the skill of an 8yo with the B & S motor bolted to the 1" x 10" plank, and called it a cart. I rode it all summer on public streets with car traffic and survived the adventure. I sat on the plank with the motor behind me and steered the front axle with my feet. It probably ran 15 mph.

I paid $13,000 for my first home near Lisbon, CT about 20 miles from the Submarine Base at Groton, CT. It was a cheaply built little 3 bedroom, one bath box with a carport. I was 28 yo and a new, young Navy chief.

The good old days. I'll be 80 this year!
