Hello, I just bought a P520, and was looking at changing all of the wheels from stock to 12x7.

The stock wheel offset appears to be 4.5 + 1.5 Front and 6 + 1.5 Rear.

if I select a 12x7 wheel with a 4+3 offset, then all wheels will be 1.5” wider than stock all the way around without spacers , is that correct?

for tires, I am thinking, will be Sunf A033. 24x8-12, 24x10x12 all terrain

i need to go up a steep hill to bring up cut wood at our property so need an aggressive tread.

any economical tire/wheel recommendations appreciated.
Thanks

1st Welcome from central upstate N.Y
Many good people & information on the Honda forum AND they LIKE PICTURES.
Red was the 1st color all other colors followed Honda hopes they sell.

4x3 Offset is overall 7 Wide a bit Much for 24in. Tires
Consider adding a little extra cash. Buy 26's 6ply. minimum or "Wish you Did Later"
4x3 wheels </> Wider stance is better on Hillside Situations ( less tippy ) </> & allows bigger tires without rubbing.
26's work good on P5 series Honda's
Have heard of some 27's rubbing front inner fenders.on P520

Thanks for the input pappyo, I was wanting to stay with 24” tire size to also increase stability on hills, keep the ground clearance low, but I will take a look at 26”. If I go with same size all around what is the best width? 10”?

here is a pic of the 520

here is a link to the Sunf tire, apparently a big horn knock off.

  1. Looking to buy
I have those same tires on my Honda 300 Foretrax and love them. Been many many miles on them and they still look new. Never any problems. I now have a 2023 P500 on order and plan on putting those same tires on the P500. Not quite sure about size yet, but thinking like you and going with the 24 x 8 and 24 x 10 x 12. Love that they are 6 ply also.
Plus an affordable price. I am also looking at either 1 inch wheel spacers or Delta Steel Wheels with that same offset as yours. 4 + 3. New wheels $200.00. Spacers about $ 125.00. Think wheels might win. Let me know how it works out for you.

Good to know about your experience on Sunf. I did receive the Sunf tires through the mail, but i changed my mind while they were in transit, return cost was high so I’ll keep them as spares.

i decided to blow the budget and go with a premounted set of ITP 25” diameter wheels/tires

The tire/wheels are great, I am hauling 500lb loads of wood up a steep hill with no problem. The extra width also keeps me more stable. The tires also clean themselves in muddy conditions and shed mud like you wouldn’t believe. One drawback is because they have a softer sidewall, there is a little more body roll when cornering vs stock, but that’s not a big deal for me.

I am now at 53” wide on a 60” wide trailer, so I may add 1” spacer later.
