For those that are using this did you run the wires + and - to the battery? Does the controller have a on/off switch?
Trying to plan installation while waiting on unit to arrive.

Head unit has an on/off switch which should have a lead that controls the amplifier. If you want music with the machine off, then wire head unit to battery. If not, wire it to switched power. Amp power always runs to battery.
