Well this Thur. I'm picking my new p4 up. I've owned every brand of ATV and love them all. But after my ride a couple weeks ago I decided a sxs was the way to go. I'm trading off a can am 800xt that I bought last Oct twords the honda. Don't get me wrong I've always yearnd for the ATV. But my boys 2&4 have to sit at home. I decided that the sport I love Has options for my dilemma. A little research turned me onto the p4 then I had to find one. I did a red one fine by me. I ordered a hard top and a stereo out of cabelas. Really looking forward to the first time I can use the machine a week or 2. My question is anything you recommend for mods? Going to add a folding windshield. Not the Honda one and a rear window. Bighors in future. My main goal is trails

And if you're going to be riding at night a LED light bar, I have a 12" that works for me.

Welcome to the community. The P4 is the perfect machine to take the family riding. Kids will have a blast. I would recommend one of the split window's so you can let some air in to help with the back draft. Then after the tires... or maybe before, I would look into a good winch and defiantly a light bar if you ride at night. Forget upgrading the oem lights. A small light bar puts them to shame.

When you get it. Be sure to post some pictures.
Thanks.

Was supposed to be shipped Monday as of today wed. Still hasn't arrived! I'm anxious for sure but I'm putting in a new concrete driveway so it would have yo sit outside for a few days anyways. I ordered the hard top from Honda also ordered the tractor tunes they cabelas. And a 30" light bar off Amazon that had great reviews for $108.00. I'm in the air on windshield I want one that folds completely in half. Tempted make one the one out there looks homemade anyways.

Thanks for the replies. Really looking forward to getting the machine! The roof is in just nothing to attach it to yet. I'm really surprised that the shipping can be off by 4 days so far for something of this magnitude.

On the Honda factory windshield don't you have to clean it constantly when trail riding?

Ya. I read people have to. But it depends on your style I guess.
Are you a hit the mud puddle full speed guy or a ease through it guy.
Seen people on Rzr's carry a window wash squeegee with them.
I would buy the hard coat or glass one for sure.

I just got the call that its arrived! Must of heard my concerns thru the internet! Picking it up at 5. I'm a roll thru the puddle guy mostly. I try to keep my machines looking new. I spent my 20s riding hard now I'd rather cruise on and watch other people break things.

Plumber32, then you won't have any issues with the Pioneer, it'll roll through some fairly deep puddles.

Enjoy and if you've got questions reach out!

I want to use my hard top in the winter but would like the sides like soft top is this possible? Will they mix and match or do they have to zip together?

If you talking about the soft OEM Honda doors. Yes they will work with the hard top.
