Some how I have managed to put 13,000 miles on mine in the 3 months I have had it. And in that 3 months my 3/4 ton Chevy has been used once (wife took some branches to the dump while I was in Michigan with the Ridge).

I like it.

I have owned 2 Ford ranger a Ford F-150 a Silverado Z71 1500 & 2500 Silverado a Chevy WT 1500. And so far the Honda Ridgeline has been the best truck I have ever owned. It gets the best gas mileage rides the best has lots of safety features and it pulls my trailer just fine. For what I use it for it meets all my needs but for other people that may not meet their needs. Everyone has their own opinion this is just mine.

On this subject, (your vehicle) your opinion is the only one that matters. Congrats on the new ride!

I drive a 2015 1500 crew LTZ chevy.

It was a tough choice when I bought it (8 months ago) but the main reason I didn’t get a 17+ ridgeline is the relative scarcity of any in Alaska.

I couldn’t really buy a new one (only new ones available) for 41k when my budget was 32k. ‍

Maybe in a couple years I’ll end up with one.

I have had 2 gen 1 Ridgelines and am now driving a 2017 Gen 2 RTL-E and have not had any issues from any of them. The only negative I have is the Gen 2 needs a bit more ground clearance. Having a trunk in the bed to keep tools and gear out of sight and secure is a game changer.
Hoping they might add ventilated seats in the 2020 model year update as that could get me interested in a new one. Crazy how Honda offers that in Canada but not in the USA. Hey Honda, it’s hot in Texas!

One must remember that the Ridgeline is not classified as a full size truck but rather a midsized one.
When comparing apples to apples the Ridgeline is very competitive within its group on payload.
Nissan Frontier - 1460 lbs payload
Toyota Tacoma - 1175 lbs
Chevy Colorado - 1513 lbs
Honda Ridgeline - 1580 lbs
GMC Canyon - 1605 lbs

Towing is limited to 5000 lbs due to it not being a body on frame design and independent rear suspension. Trade offs for sure but you get a great ride and a trunk, good trade off IMHO if you don’t need to tow anything over 5000 lbs.

half tons get close enough mileage to real world to real world. but you can actually tow a decent size camper or small tractor. and chevy and ford ride good on roads like that. our roads are very crappy and a ton of snow/ice is way better with real 4wd and rear locker, unlike any of the brake modulated tall station wagons
